Located in the north China and the political, economic, and cultural center, Beijing is the capital of the most populous country in the world, the People's Republic of China. Beijing Capital International Airport in suburban district Shunyi (approximately 26 km (16 mi) to the northeast of the central districts), is the world's second-busiest (as of 2013 data) and has three terminals. Travel between Terminals 1 and 2 is via a long corridor with travelators. A free shuttle bus runs between Terminal 2 and 3.
Nanyuan Airport is a former military airfield, currently being used only for China Eastern's budget operator, China United Airlines operating domestic flights to Chengdu, Chongqing, Dalian, Harbin, Sanya, Shanghai-Hongqiao, Wuxi, plus some other smaller (often military) airports such as Datong and Foshan. The airport is extremely small and extremely limited services for waiting travelers.
